LAUREL, MD. 04-05-08---The Elkstone Group LLC’s Hungarian Boatbaby won her second straight start at Laurel Park, this time a popular victory in today’s $80,000 Primonetta Stakes for fillies and mares at Laurel Park. Her rider, Abel Castellano, had a big day, too, winning five races on the afternoon.
Tony Dutrow trains the 4-year-old daughter of Silver Ghost, who chased free running What Time It Is to the head of the lane in the six furlong test before wresting command and drawing away to reach the finish line in 1:11.9. She won by 2-1/4 lengths. Circuit Breaker rallied four wide to take second. Pacesetter What Time It Is finished third.
Hungarian Boatbaby paid $4.80 as the post time favorite. She topped a $47.20 exacta and a $230.60 trifecta. She now has five wins in eight starts.
“I just saved ground and saved her for the end,” Castellano said. “When I asked her, she gave me everything. I could feel I had a lot of horse and boom, she gave me everything she’s got.”
Castellano teamed up with Scott Lake to win three races on Saturday’s 10-race program at Laurel Park as Bold Julio ($3.60-third) Trophy Pride ($4-fourth) and Quick Sale ($3.20-sixth) were popular winners. Lake has produced 12 multiple winning afternoons at the central Maryland track during the current winter meeting, including five three-win days. The 42-year-old conditioner tops the local standings with 48 victories.

Castellano, who also won the eighth race aboard Fast Talking ($12), ranks fourth among riders with 35 first place finishes, all but four for Lake.
“You do have more confidence when you have big days like this,” added Castellano. “Every decision seems to be the right one and you feel stronger.”
Castellano also rode five winners at Laurel on October 18, 2003.
