Cars, Cigars & Barbecue: Maryland’s Ultimate Father’s Day Event at Laurel Park

 LAUREL, MD – Laurel Park will play host to one of the most unique Father’s Day celebrations in the Mid-Atlantic Sunday, June 16 with Cars, Cigars & Barbecue.

The day will offer families live Thoroughbred racing, barbecue specials, cigar rolling, yard games, and a car display between Noon and 5 p.m., featuring the Asphalt Angels and Lost in the 50s car clubs.

Admission and parking is free at Laurel Park, conveniently located between I-95 and the Baltimore-Washington Parkway.

First race post is 1:10 p.m. for live racing. The Father’s Day program will also include four, $100,000 stakes races including the 1 1/16th mile turf races the Prince George’s County and Big Dreyfus.

Laurel Park is home in the coming months to the $100,000 Stormy Blues and $75,000 Ben’s Cat July 14, the $200,000 Baltimore-Washington International Turf Cup, $200,000 Laurel Futurity and $150,000 Bald Eagle Sept. 21, and Jim McKay Maryland Million Day Oct. 19.
