Laurel to Enhance Coverage of Saturday’s Winter Carnival

Races to be Streamed in English and Spanish
Migliore, Mailloux Join Salter and Tullock to Provide Trackside Coverage
Fritchie (G3), General George (G3) Part of Five-Stakes Program

    
LAUREL, MD - Laurel Park’s annual Winter Carnival, featuring the $250,000 Barbara Fritchie (G3) and $250,000 General George (G3), will have enhanced coverage and exposure Saturday afternoon, Feb 16.

Laurel’s 10-race program will be streamed in English and Spanish at LaurelPark.com and GulfstreamPark.com. The Spanish stream will be hosted by Alfredo Alfonzo, Juan Carlos Palma, Claudia Spadaro and popular announcer Pedro Casella.

Meanwhile, Laurel’s English stream and simulcast show will be hosted by Stanton Salter and Tim Tullock and will also feature trackside reports by Richard Migliore and Ashley Mailloux.

Migliore, a multiple graded-stakes winning jockey and Eclipse Award and Breeders’ Cup winner, won 4,450 races and formerly worked at NYRA TV and XBTV. Mailloux is the paddock analyst at Fort Erie after graduating with a master’s degree with a concentration in statistics.

First race post Saturday at Laurel is 12:30 p.m. The 10-race program also includes the $100,000 Miracle Wood for 3-year-olds, $100,000 Wide Country for 3-year-old fillies, and the $100,000 John B. Campbell for 4-year-olds and up.
