Late Pick 5 Carryover Reaches $9,785
 
LAUREL, MD – There will be carryovers in the 50-cent Late Pick 5, 20-cent Rainbow 6 and $1 Super Hi-5 wagers on a special nine-race program Monday at Laurel Park.
 
Monday’s card was rescheduled from Nov. 20, when races were canceled after the opener due to high winds. First race post time is 12:30 p.m.
 
The Late Pick 5, which offers an industry-low carryover of 12 percent, went unsolved for the second straight day, leaving a carryover of $9,785.27 for Monday. Tickets with four of five winners Sunday returned $65.65.
 
Monday’s Late Pick 5 spans Races 5-9 and is kicked off with a $40,000  maiden special weight for 2-year-old fillies going 5 ½ furlongs on the Bowl Game Turf Course. The sequence also includes the featured eighth race, a $42,000 entry-level allowance for 3-year-olds and up at 1 1/8 miles on the Exceller Turf Course.
 
There will also be carryover jackpot of $1,223.69 in the Rainbow 6, which covers Races 4-9. Tickets with four of six winners Sunday returned $188.38.
 
A Super Hi-5 carryover $1,148.01 will be available in Monday’s opener, a 5 ½-furlong turf sprint that drew a field of 11 on the Bowl Game layout.
 
Note: Jockey Forest Boyce posted a riding double Sunday, with Big Brother Bubba ($17) in the second race and Zipping By ($7.40) in the fourth.
