Rainbow 6 Solved for $35,515 Payout Saturday at Laurel

Super Hi-5 Carryover of $6,110 for Sunday’s Opener

LAUREL, MD – One lucky bettor solved the 20-cent Rainbow 6 wager for a jackpot carryover payoff of $35,551 Saturday at Laurel Park.

Shecor, sent off at 25-1, was the lone horse eligible to take down the jackpot heading into the 11th race finale, rallying from last to first to split horses in deep stretch and get up by a neck over Menorah Lora in the six-furlong maiden claimer.

Trained by Kieron Magee and ridden by Jose Barnes, Shecor ($54) completed the winning 4-12-8-6-8-2 sequence. The Rainbow 6 had gone unsolved for 14 consecutive programs since it was last hit for $10,342 on Oct. 8.

The Rainbow 6 carryover jackpot is paid out only when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 60 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners while 40 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

The Rainbow 6 begins anew on Sunday and spans races 4-9. First race post time is 12:30 p.m.

There will be a carryover of $6,110.99 in the $1 Super Hi-5 for Sunday’s opener.
