Total Pool Expected to Swell to More than $500,000
                      
LAUREL, MD – With no winning tickets in Friday’s Stronach 5, the national pick 5 wager with an industry-low 12-percent takeout is expected to climb to more than $500,000 Friday, Feb. 22.

The carryover going into next Friday’s is $169,305.51.

Friday’s sequence produced a $140 winner at Golden Gate Fields in Shari and an $89.20 winner at Gulfstream Park in Off the Mark.

Friday’s Stronach 5 sequence

●    Leg One – Gulfstream Park 8th Race – Hello Juliet $6.60
●    Leg Two –Laurel Park 9th Race – Autotrade $9.20
●    Leg Three –Santa Anita Park 4th Race – Gio Pronto $22
●    Leg Four – Gulfstream Park 11th Race – Off the Mark $89.20
●    Leg Five – Golden Gate Fields 5th Race – Shari $140

The minimum wager on the multi-race, multi-track Stronach 5 is $1. If there are no tickets with five winners, the entire pool will be carried over to the next Friday.

For the Stronach 5, if a change in racing surface is made after the wagering closes, each selection on any ticket will be considered a winning selection. If a betting interest is scratched, that selection will be substituted with the favorite in the win pool when wagering closes.
