Veterans Day Card Produces Double Carryovers for Thursday

12:25 P.M. Post Time for Nine-Race Program Nov. 14

LAUREL, MD – There will be carryovers in the 20-cent Rainbow 6 and $1 Super Hi-5 wagers when live racing returns to Laurel Park with a nine-race program Thursday, Nov. 14.

First race post time is 12:25 p.m.

No single bettor solved the Rainbow 6 on Monday’s special Veterans Day holiday card, resulting in a jackpot carryover of $2,171.12 for Thursday. Multiple tickets with all six winners each returned $406.54.

The Rainbow 6 jackpot is paid out only when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 60 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners while 40 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.

Thursday’s Rainbow 6 begins in Race 3 and includes a $42,000 entry-level optional claiming allowance for 2-year-olds going one mile in Race 6, and a $40,000 maiden special weight for 3-year-olds and up at 1 1/8 miles in Race 7.

A Super Hi-5 carryover of $1,426.51 will be available in Thursday’s opener, a waiver maiden claiming event for 2-year-olds carded at one mile.

Notes: Jockey Horacio Karamanos registered two wins Monday, aboard Data Princess ($7.40) in Race 2 and Bobby G ($3.60) in Race 7. Trainer Claudio Gonzalez sent out a pair of winners, Life in Flash ($2.80) in Race 3 and King Leo ($9.80) in Race 5.
