WBAL’s Wykoff Tunes Attention to Laurel’s $233,000 Rainbow 6

LAUREL, MD – WBAL NewsRadio’s popular Scott Wykoff, who has earned four National Edward R. Murrow awards, an Eclipse Award and Old Hilltop Award, has turned his attention to Laurel Park’s 20-cent Rainbow 6 which has a carryover Saturday of $233,622.91.

Wykoff, the Honorary Postmaster at the 2017 Preakness, begins the Rainbow 6 sequence with two horses in the fourth race, favorites Godlovesasinner (5-2) and Zap Cat (9-5). Wykoff goes three-deep in the fifth leg, including 8-1 shot Three Hawk. In the final leg, Wykoff selects My Pal Jerry (4-1) and Kinder (3-1).

Laurel’s nine-race program begins with a first race post at 1:10 p.m. The Rainbow 6 sequence will cover races 4 through 9.

The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 60 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners while 40 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.
