“It’s been a real good day,” Hamilton said. “Finally, all this hard work, I’ve been working every morning early, and it’s paying off. I’m putting horses in better spots and everything is coming together. It’s just learning and experience and I’ve learned a lot the last couple weeks.”

Laurel will run a special nine-race program Monday with a first race post of 12:30 p.m. Laurel’s Rainbow 6 will have a carryover of $8,939 when it begins with race four. There will also be a Super Hi 5 carryover of $1,934.14 in the first race.
