2013 SEASON: ranked 18th in Maryland with 18 victories…Broad Rule (Fire Pug) and Dynamic Strike (Miracle Wood) won stakes races during the Laurel winter meet.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: had at least one added money victory for 29 straight years (1974-2002)…trained multiple-stakes winner Concern, the first Maryland-bred to win the Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1) in 1994...Concern finished third in the Preakness that year…trained multiple-stakes winner Broad Brush to a career mark of 27 starts, 14 wins (12 stakes), five seconds and 5 thirds, with earnings of $2.7 million from 1985-1987...Broad Brush was third in the 1986 Preakness and had a pair of graded victories as a four-year old (Suburban Handicap & Santa Anita Handicap)…also saddled Looming in the ’94 Preakness, finishing seventh…He Loves Me won five added money races (four in Maryland) in 2004…considers Caesar’s Wish the best horse he’s ever trained, she broke Ruffian’s record in the Mother Goose in 1978…earned $370,000 when Dynamic Deputy, Take A Check and Sticky finished second-third-and fourth respectively in the 2006 Delaware Handicap (G2)…Richard’s Kid won the 2009 John Campbell Stakes before being sold and winning the Pacific Classic (G1) in the Bob Baffert barn.
