The unique, national pick 5 kicked off with Fast Enough, a 2-year-old gelded son of Eddington making his career debut, winning the third race at Santa Anita Park. After turf races from Laurel Park and Gulfstream Park, the Stronach 5 headed back to California where the longshot Startender ($37) won the fifth race at Golden Gate Fields.

LAUREL, MD – Friday’s Stronach 5, with an industry-low 12-percent takeout and a $100,000 guaranteed pool, will include three turf races – two from Gulfstream Park – and will kick off at 5:08 p.m. with a field of eight juveniles going 5 ½ furlongs at Santa Anita Park.
    

Stronach 5 Rewards 26 Bettors with $5,094 Each

LAUREL, MD –Friday’s Stronach 5, highlighted by three turf races and four different tracks, had 26 winners, each receiving $5,094.70.

Friday’s sequence began at Gulfstream Park in Florida with Allurstra winning the eighth race and returning $29.40, and ending in California with the gray Confidentially winning the sixth race at Santa Anita Park and paying $11.40.

The national wager has an industry-low 12-percent takeout and a guaranteed pool of $100,000.
