LAUREL, MD – The Stronach 5, featuring races from Gulfstream Park, Laurel Park and Golden Gate Fields as well as an industry-low 12-percent takeout, awarded 113 bettors each with $2,025.50 Friday afternoon.

Southeast ($8) kicked off Friday’s sequence by winning the ninth race at Laurel and The Creep ($4.60) closed things out by winning the sixth race at Golden Gate. Slot Receiver ($9), winner of the 11th race at Gulfstream, provided the largest win payoff.

There was $258,853 wagered into the national pick 5.

Friday’s Stronach 5 sequence

• Leg One – Laurel Park 9th Race – Southeast $8
• Leg Two - Gulfstream Park 10th Race – Go Poke the Bear $5.60
• Leg Three – Gulfstream Park 11th Race – Slot Receiver $9
• Leg Four – Golden Gate Fields 5th Race – Getting Sideways $7.80
• Leg Five –Golden Gate Fields 6th Race – The Creep $4.60

The minimum wager on the multi-race, multi-track Stronach 5 is $1. If there are no tickets with five winners, the entire pool will be carried over to the next Friday.

For the Stronach 5, if a change in racing surface is made after the wagering closes, each selection on any ticket will be considered a winning selection. If a betting interest is scratched, that selection will be substituted with the favorite in the win pool when wagering closes.
