Laurel will offer donuts, coffee, cider and hot chocolate from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day, with a special first-race post time of 11:25 a.m.

With every program purchase, Laurel will give away a family-sized apple or pumpkin pie while supplies last. A Thanksgiving buffet runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at a cost of $48 for adults 14 and older and $24 for children 6-12, while kids 5 and under eat free.

Friday, Nov. 29 is Guys’ Day Out at Laurel, offering burgers, beer and bourbon, along with cigars and prize packages and drawings for tickets to the 145th Preakness Stakes (G1) and 96th Black-Eyed Susan (G2) from noon to 4 p.m. First-race post time will be 12:25 p.m.

The live racing program on Saturday, Nov. 30 also begins at 12:25 p.m. and will be highlighted by four $100,000 stakes – the 1 1/8-mile Richard W. Winners of the City of Laurel and Safely Kept will earn automatic entry into the $300,000 Malibu (G1) and $300,000 La Brea (G1), respectively, on Wednesday, Dec. 26, opening day of Santa Anita’s winter-spring meet.

Both the Malibu and La Brea are contested at seven furlongs. If the winner of Laurel’s races go in either race, they will be given a $2,500 stipend toward travel costs.
