Free Preakness Items and Four Stakes Saturday at Pimlico

LAUREL, MD – Fans attending Maryland Strong Day Saturday at Pimlico Race Course, featuring four Maryland-bred stakes with purses totaling $300,000, will be able to take a piece of the Preakness home.

Those attending the races will be able to select from a Preakness commemorative glass, T-shirt, coffee mug, cap, luggage tag, shot glass or pop socket for cell phones to take home at no charge. The merchandise will be available in the grandstand lobby. Fans can also donate to Beyond the Wire Maryland Thoroughbred Aftercare or Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund.

In addition to grabbing a piece of Preakness and the four stakes, fans will be treated to a special menu including Old Bay grilled chicken sandwich and Maryland-style pit turkey and ham as well as drink specials including the Black-Eyed Susan.

First race post time Saturday is 12:40 p.m. Racing returns Friday at Pimlico with a first race post of 12:40 p.m.
