Laurel Park Cancels Monday's Card

LAUREL, MD. 01-19-15---Live racing at Laurel Park has been cancelled for Monday, January 19 due to track conditions. Laurel and its sister track, Pimlico Race Course, will be open for simulcasting.

“After an unexpected freeze on Sunday, the freeze-thaw situation has made the racetrack uneven,” Maryland Jockey Club general manager Sal Sinatra said “It is in the best interest of safety for horses and riders that this decision has been made.”

Live racing is scheduled to resume Friday, January 23 with a 12:30 p.m. EST post time.
