LAUREL, MD – The Stronach 5 continued to show a good return on investment Friday when it returned $5,565.30 with no winner in the sequence returning more than $10.
 
Friday’s Stronach 5 featured races from Laurel Park and Gulfstream Park and a $100,000 guaranteed pool. There were 17 winning tickets. All three races from Laurel scheduled on the turf were moved to the main track due to rain.
 
The Stronach 5 began with Laurel’s sixth race and favored Pardon the Pun ($6.60) winning. It concluded with Gulfstream’s 10th race and Fort King ($10) visiting the winner’s circle. Other winners were Lure Him In ($9.20), Blue Sky Venezuela ($9.60) and Gifted Heart ($5.60).

The minimum wager on the multi-race, multi-track Stronach 5 is $1. If there are no tickets with five winners, the entire pool will be carried over to the next Friday.
 
If a change in racing surface is made after the wagering closes, each selection on any ticket will be considered a winning selection. If a betting interest is scratched, that selection will be substituted with the favorite in the win pool when wagering closes.
