Eighttofasttocatch Looking To Repeat In Japan Racing Association Stakes In Maryland Million Prep

LAUREL, MD. 09-06-12---Defending champion Eighttofasttocatch and nine others with proven turf ability will meet in Saturday’s grassy Japan Racing Association Stakes at Laurel Park. The 1 1/16 mile test is race 10 on the 11-race program.
LAUREL, MD. 09-06-12---The Maryland Jockey Club introduced a Virtual Finish Line at the Laurel Park fall meeting, which opened yesterday. The video insertion technology delivers virtual distance markers and a virtual finish line on the main track and turf course to enhance the broadcast of the simulcast signal.

LAUREL, MD. 08-31-12---After a 15-week break, live racing will resume at the major Maryland tracks two days after Labor Day. The 2012 fall meeting begins at Laurel Park Wednesday afternoon (post time 1:10 p.m). Racing will take place four days a week through the end of the year on a Wednesday through Saturday schedule, holidays excluded.Laurel Park Race Course Unveils New Logo

LAUREL, MD. 08-15-12---The Maryland Jockey Club today unveiled a new logo for Laurel Park Race Course. Laurel Park, which opened on October 2, 1911, hosts live thoroughbred horse racing annually from September until March and is the sister track to Pimlico Race Course, home of the world-famous Preakness Stakes.
LAUREL, MD. 07-17-12---The Maryland Jockey Club unveiled the 2012 Laurel Park fall schedule today after reaching agreement with both the Maryland Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association and Maryland Horse Breeders Association. The schedule was approved by the Maryland Racing Commission earlier this afternoon at its monthly meeting.
LAUREL, MD. 03-24-12---The 12-week Laurel Park winter meeting ended today with Sheldon Russell and Dane Kobiskie winning individual titles. The 48-day stand began at the central Maryland track on January 4.
