Veterans Day Card Produces Double Carryovers for Thursday

LAUREL, MD – There will be carryovers in the 20-cent Rainbow 6 and $1 Super Hi-5 wagers when live racing returns to Laurel Park with a nine-race program Thursday, Nov. 14.

First race post time is 12:25 p.m.

No single bettor solved the Rainbow 6 on Monday’s special Veterans Day holiday card, resulting in a jackpot carryover of $2,171.12 for Thursday. Multiple tickets with all six winners each returned $406.54.

LAUREL, MD – There will be a carryover of $91,081.85 in the Stronach 5 on Friday, Nov. 15.

There were no winners in Friday’s popular Stronach 5, which has an industry-low 12-percent takeout.

LAUREL, MD – Brittlyn Stable’s Grade 2 winner Minit to Stardom returned from her short vacation in triumphant fashion, cruising to a popular 3 ¾-length score in Friday’s feature race at Laurel Park.

With regular rider Alex Cintron aboard for trainer Jose Camejo, Minit to Stardom ($3.20) ran six furlongs in 1:10.19 over a fast main track in the open $55,000 allowance for fillies and mares 3 and older.

The sequence begins at 4:10 ET at Laurel Park with a field of 14 claimers going six furlongs and will conclude less than an hour later with a dozen 2-year-old maiden fillies going a mile on the turf at Gulfstream.

With regular rider Julian Pimentel aboard, Arrifana ($2.40) ran about 1 1/16 miles in 1:43.72 over a fast main track for her fourth win in as many starts for trainer Kelly Rubley.
