Maryland's Lacey Gaudet a Winner in $1.1 Million Claiming Crown

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL  - Maryland trainer Lacey Gaudet, who is based at Laurel Park, made the most of her trip to South Florida by saddling Farfellow Farm's Marabea to victory Saturday in the $125,000 Claiming Crown Tiara at Gulfstream Park.
Claimed in September for $25,000, Marabea, ridden by Jose Lezcano, was a neck winner over Lobelia, who finished a neck in front of the third-place finisher, Seeking Treasure, in the field of 14 fillies and mares.

Monday’s card was rescheduled from Nov. 20, when races were canceled after the opener due to high winds. First race post time is 12:30 p.m.

LAUREL, MD – For the second time in three days, jockey Feargal Lynch registered four wins on a single card at Laurel Park.
Lynch won three consecutive races Saturday with 4-year-old filly Piney Blues ($6.20) in the second, 27-1 long shot Giles Fair ($56.20) in the third and 2-year-old gelding Parade of Nations ($5) in the fourth.

 LAUREL – Jockey Feargal Lynch celebrated Laurel Park’s Thanksgiving Day program by riding four winners.
Lynch won the first race aboard Dark Gemini ($5.60), the fourth aboard Thissongisaboutyou ($12.60), the fifth with Broad Axe Bernie ($19), and ended his day with a victory aboard Justcallme K L ($11) in the eighth.

LAUREL, MD – Laurel Park will card a special live program Monday, Nov. 28 to make up for Sunday’s cancelled program.
Track officials cancelled Sunday’s program after the first race due to extremely windy conditions.
Race conditions for next Monday’s program, which will feature nine races and a 12:30 p.m. first race post, will be available tomorrow morning and the racing office will take entries Friday.
