LAUREL, MD. 10-18-13---Owner/trainer King Leatherbury informed the Maryland Jockey Club this morning that Ben’s Cat will run in the $125,000 Maryland Million Turf Saturday afternoon at Laurel Park. Leatherbury cross-entered his star into both the Turf and the $100,000 Sprint.
LAUREL, MD. 10-17-12---Jerry Robb is best known for conditioning Little Bold John, who retired in 1993 with 38 wins in 105 starts and earnings of nearly $2 million. LBJ’s 26 career stakes victories represents a Maryland-bred record. His victories included the Donn Handicap (G1) and the 1987 Maryland Million Classic.
On Saturday, the 61-year-old will saddle three Maryland Million runners, including the morning line favorites in the first two races on the card, the $100,000 Nursery and the $100,000 Lassie.

LAUREL, MD. 10-09-13---Richard Santulli’s Mezzano stumbled out of the gate and was bumped by a rival but proved much the best in today’s $47,000 allowance feature at Laurel Park. The son of Mizzen Mast was ridden by Stewart Elliott for trainer Alan Goldberg.
LAUREL, MD. 10-5-13---Mendassity set a turf track record while the 1-2-3 finishers in today’s $42,000 allowance feature at Laurel Park were all long shots.
LAUREL, MD. 10-04-13---Steve & Debbie Jackson’s Deco Rocks only had two horses beaten at the top of the stretch, but after a relentless drive, got up in time to win today’s $47,000 allowance feature at Laurel Park at odds of 67-1.
LAUREL, MD. 10-03-13---Trainer Jamie Ness and apprentice jockey Jevian Toledo teamed up to win three races Thursday afternoon at Laurel Park.
The duo visited the winners’ circle with Maxine Pride ($4.80-race 3), Saint Anna Carina ($7.20-race 5) and Jaggermama ($4-race 6). Midwest Thoroughbreds Inc. owns all three winners.
